But here's something fresh from Eau Design London - A poster celebrating Earth's recently detached (ok, not that recently) siamese twin, the Moon (La Lune): Come back in the next week for more of our recent doings of design, including some websites and logos.

Some screenprinted goodness from us!
Have a gander at something we screenprinted recently: Inspired by a friend of ours in Perth, Scotland, created during a hazy moment, chattering in a kitchen about the changes in our hair styles since I had last been up to bonnie Scotland!
A perfect gift for those of us who have inadvertently developed 'executive hair' without realising it.
And perhaps a tribute to those of us who couldn't pull it off if we tried!

Our latest print project: Dean Whitbread 'One way journey'
Eau Design London recently worked with Author, blogger, and musician Dean Whitbread for his latest short story, 'One Way Journey'. We designed and illustrated the cover for this heart-felt piece, and hope to work with him again in the near future.
A wee bit about the story: As events reveal more about himself than he bargained for, an Englishman's spontaneous midwinter break in the Egyptian Red Sea with two beautiful Russian strangers becomes challenging, but produces an unexpected Christmas gift.
Exploring the power of dreams to both disturb and redeem, this is a psychological travel guide.
You'll have to buy the book for yourself to find out more!
You can purchase it here: or grab the e-book on Lulu.com
The Kindle book is now available here;

The Vinyl Factory
This award-winning company show us, in a nutshell, how a vinyl record is made at their factory.
They specialise in high quality vinyl pressing with fully bespoke packaging. Examples have included recent (strictly limited) editions from the Pet Shop Boys, and Pink Floyd.
Who says physical media is dead?! ..It's just adapting to fit into it's place in the ever-changing foodchain of the CD industry.

Jeff Harrison: Album art for 'Splitting Adam'
Jeff Harrison has created this cd packaging for 'Splitting Adam', which 'splits' open to reveal a 3D hologram, morphing from a passive lamb to an aggressive ape - representing Adam's internal struggle with music-triggered bipolar disorder.

New Autechre: Warp album coming soon
Warp are set to release 'Oversteps’ on March 22nd, and the vinyl and cd both include a 320kbps LAME encoded mp3 version, at 16 or 24bit for mp3 players!! Also worth mentioning is the double heavy weight vinyl, and gorgeous paper stock used to create this piece of art, which includes a poster!
Another Warp release that excites designers and acid fans alike!
Inspired by 'www.hardformat.org', I am including the image below for a taster of what Warp Records do when they reach 20yrs old, and need to release the customary 'best-of' collection. Well, yes, they obviously created what is possibly one of the finest box-sets of 2009!

STEFAN SAGMEISTER: THE POWER OF TIME OFF
Designer Stefan Sagmeister goes on a year long sabbatical around every 7 years, where he does not take jobs from clients. Sagmeister spends the year experimenting with personal work and refreshing himself as a designer. In this TED Talk he discusses how fruitful it is to step away from your work, and give yourself the time to reflect on it and other passions in your life. For what it's worth, 'Designguy's podcast contains a show, where he explains that in order to be a good designer, we need to have varied experiences, in both work and in life, to be able to visualise solutions to any aesthetic challenge.

Beautiful Losers: A documentary about art
In the early 1990's, while most of the country was still reeling from the Reagan era, a loose-knit group of American artists develop a cultural movement influenced by the D.I.Y attitude and underground youth cultures of skateboarding, graffiti and punk rock.
Lovely snowy Mussy Hill, London.
Snow in Muswell Hill, London. Don't worry, the Macbook Pro is slowly melting this from the office. I give it a few hours! - ETHAN
